A visit to our local bird aviary always makes a great excuse for a new bird craft!
We used them as our inspiration to create thisyarn weaved paper plate peacock craft.

Paint your plate
Gather your supplies.
Cut the bottom of your heavy duty paper plate off so you have a straight line.
Paint the front of the paper plate with your turquoise paint.
Set it aside to dry completely.
Cut out body shapes
Cut out two blue circles for your peacock head and body.
Then cut out a yellow beak for your peacock.
Cut off a large section of green yarn and tape it onto the back of your paper plate.
When you reach the end of your yarn, tape it onto the back of your paper plate.
Add jewels around rim
Glue colorful acrylic jewels around the rim of the painted paper plate.
Glue peacock body together
Glue your blue peacock head onto your blue peacock body.
Then glue your yellow beak onto the face and add some googly eyes stickers.
