After enjoying some fun reading, we decided to get creative and make our own big, homemade Valentines.

Its been a great way to celebrate the holiday and enjoy some hands-on crafting!

Every year we enjoy making Valentines for Aunts and Uncles.

This year I was inspired by a card I came across and decided to create something similar.

To save paper, we used half sheets for each Valentine since we were making so many.

Heres how the front of the card turned out!

It worked much better for us.

The boys took turns writing on the back of the cards.

On a couple they wrote things they loved about their Aunt/Uncle.

On others they wrote Happy Valentines Day.

I was especially proud of my preschooler for how hard he worked writing on the back of the cards.

For just turning 5 years old, he is doing really good at his writing.

I also came up with a fun idea to create an alphabet matching game using broken hearts.

My son took the top lowercase letter on the pile and matched it up with the capital letter.

I put my template in a PowerPoint document which you’ve got the option to downloadHERE.

We finished off our Valentines week by making some abstract Valentines Art.

While the paint was still wet, my son sprinkled red and pink glitter all over the hearts.

It looks so pretty glued onto a red background.

Hope you have a Happy Valentines Day!
