Teach students aboutelectricity for kidswith this simple and amazinglight bulb experiment!
Thislight bulb experimentallows children to make a workinglight bulb projectwith a few simple materials.
Use common sense when working with a battery and sharp objects.
Light Bulb Science Project
Start out with a mason jar with the lid on.
Cut your insulated copper wire so you have 2 pieces that are 18 each.
Now carefully trim an inch of the plastic coating off of each end.
Turn the glass jar upside down over the lid and screw closed.
Now attach the other wire to the remaining terminal.
Fun electricity experiments
Watch light bulb light up!
you’re able to time how long your filament glows before it burns out.
The first light bulb made by Thomas Edison in 1879 were incadescent just like the one you made.
Caution: the filament will bcome very hot, so dont fire up the jar until it cools!
