We decided to make it educational by exploring the science behind water beads in our homeschool.

This Water Beads activity is a great way to combine water beads sensory play with an educational water beads science experiment. Water beads are a fascinating material to explore for kids. Not only are they fun to squish and feel their slippery, watery texture, but they are inexpensive too making them great for sensory bins. I found myself wondering about the science behind sensory play so we decided to play and learn with water beads! This water beads science is perfect for your learners from toddler, preschool, pre-k, kindergarten, first grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and 4th graders too.

But more than just a funwater bead activity, I wanted to understands more about how water beads worked.

SO we tried this simple, but funwater bead science experiment.

So we added them to our summer bucket list.

Boy am I glad we did!

They are so cool!

We also observed how the mass changed as they sat in water longer.

But no matter how long they stayed in water after 3 hours they remained the same.

(Dont they look like marbles!)
