Plastic Bottle Bird Feeder Craft
We absolutely love watching birds come to bird feeders in our yard.
We have purchased many in the past and have them wherever we can in our yard.
My daughter is the same way.
She is a nature watcher and I love it.
ThisPlastic Bottle Bird Feeder Craftis useful, super cute and a great space for birds to hang out!
Thisdiy bird feeder plastic bottleis perfect for teaching young chidlren to observe nature.
This is slightly difficult and can be very dangerous so I would suggest an adult doing this part.
If you have an exacto knife, use that to cut the plastic.
These are on each end, each corner of the opening.
My daughter cut out shapes from the sticky foam.
She chose to do a sun, clouds, flowers and leaves to continue with the nature theme.
This is where your child can get creative.
Whatever they would like to decorate their bird feeder with, they can.
I honestly used the hole punch to punch a hole next to where I wanted to cut the slit.
This gave an opening for the scissors to go in and made it MUCH easier to cut the slit.
Again, an exacto knife would have been easier but of course I couldnt find mine.
This way the popsicle sticks could slide in easily on both sides.
We figured out the perfect place for it to hang and then filled it with bird seed.
It is like a little feeding trough or food ship for the birds.
It was a great time to help her with her challenge and she was beautifully successful.
