Paint your plate

Start by painting your small paper plate orange and let it dry completely.

Paper Plate Fish 1

Cut out fin pieces

Cut out all the fin pieces from your orange cardstock paper.

I cut out a back fin, a top fin an two fins for the bottom.

I also cut small triangle ridges all along the bottom of the fins.

This step is optional, dependent on the ability of children.

Draw lines on fins

Use your orange Elmers Painters Marker to draw lines down all of your fins.

Glue your fins, eyes & cut out mouth

Glue your fins to your paper plate.

I love how the scales turned out with using the round stickers!

We made our fish orange, but you could personalize your fish with any colors you choose.

In fact, I bet preschoolers would love making their own colorful fish.
