Dragonflies are really interesting little insects.
They have such a unique look to them which is why they are so popular around the world.
Many people also put symbolic meaning on them and they have significance in various cultures.
Drawing a dragonfly can be quite a challenge because of how distinctive they look.
Thats why I have created this guide, as I would like to make it much simpler for you.
I will take you through each step so that you could draw every part of the dragonfly.
For the head, you’re able to draw some rounded shapes with another rounded section between them.
Then, use some more curved lines for the start of the body, or thorax.

To draw it, simply add a row of small, long shapes that connect to one another.
These are what we shall be adding to your dragonfly drawing in this next step.
Each wing is quite long, thin and made up of some rounded lines.

The main aspect that we will focus on will be to draw some detailing on the wings.
In our example image, we showed you one way that you could color in this artwork.
We used orange for the body of the dragonfly, and then went with some greys for the wings.
