A bed is a piece of furniture that we are all familiar with.
They can also be great for a nap during the day or just to relax in too!
With so many styles available, it can be hard to know where to start, though!
In this guide, we have designed a classic style bed for you to learn how to draw.
How to Draw A Cartoon Bed Lets get Started!
Step 1
We will start this drawing with the pillow and the headboard, so lets begin!
First, lets work on the pillow.
As shown in the reference image, we will be drawing the top and sides of the pillow.
Then, add a horizontal curved line above it with a circle at each end.
Then, its time for step 2!
This can be drawn using some curved lines that will have a flat edge at the base.
Then, draw some curved lines onto the pillow to show where theres a crease in it.
Thats all there is to do for now, so we can proceed!
This means that there will be a circle with a rounded rectangle shape coming down from beneath it.
We will add to this portion of the bed soon, so lets keep going!
Then, we draw a shape above it for some decoration.
Once these details are drawn, you could then add some details of your own!
How will you finish it off?
This is a step where you could really get creative with it as you add your own color choices.
In our example image, we used blues and greens for the blanket, pillow and mattress.
You could add these to your artwork to give it more of a sense of place!
Some common items would include a bedside table and a chest at the foot of the bed.
These are a few ideas, but what other items do you think this bed could use?

For a fun touch, you could base it on your own bedroom and include some unique details.

once you nail the hang of the design, you could customize the bed a bit more!
This could be as simple as changing the design on the duvet and sheets.
Or, you could play around with the structure of the bed itself by changing how the bedframe looks.
Another fun idea would be to add a second layer to make it into a bunk bed!
Thats why we think it would be great to add a human character enjoying this bed!
Once again, it could be fun to use your own life and base this character on yourself!
