All you need to make this delicious holiday cookies are a few simple ingredients you probably already have on hand: butter egg vanilla extract powdered sugar almond extract all purpose flour baking powder salt granulated sugar red food coloring crushed candy canes

Roll a rope out of the red dough and a rope out of the white down.

Repeat until you fill a baking sheet.

NOTE: attempt to make the ropes thin so the candy cane cookies arent too big.

mix together ingredients

In a small bowl mix 1/2 cup crushed candy canes and 1/2 cup white sugar.

Sprinkle each candy cane with crushed candy cane and sugar mixture.

Bake 9 minutes each.
