We used ournesting star cookie cutters.
You want a medium size star with the smallest star you have to cut out the middle.

We put all our start cutouts on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
It was such a simple, beautiful way to decorate these stars.
The kids loved helping.
Hint: Leave some stars pretty and white.
It makes a beautiful contrast on your tree!
Then we baked all of them at 200 F for 50 minutes.
Allow them to cool on the cookie tray before moving.
They will slip right off the parchment paper.
