vision science experiment

When we go to the movies, the film shows a new frame every 1/24th of a second.

This gives us the illusion of continuous, smooth motion.

You will just need to collect a few items from around the house.

trace a circle on cardstock

on one side draw a fish bowl and on the other side draw a fish

Thread a string through the holes on each side of the circle.

Start with 25 or 30 twists.

Eye experiment

Pull the twisted strings straight out to the sides so that the circle spins.

using a hole punch and string make these handles

What do you see?

If you do not see this, try twisting your string more.

When the circle spins around, the eye sees both images.

pull strings so it spins for this vision science experiment to amaze your homeschooelrs

Bones make sense because they can feel the hard  object when they press on their bodies. Next we added the organs which also made sense to them as they know food goes somewhere - the stomach. Next up is teaching them about muscles. While they can make a muscle, this concept is a little more abstract. So we did this fun muscular system for kids activity to help students learn how do muscles work.
